About the Seminar

At the seminar, John Gibbons will provide participants with both a practical and theoretical introduction to the safe application of joint mobilisations from Grade I to Grade IV, as well as selected safe Grade V manipulations, also known as HVT techniques (high-velocity, low-amplitude thrusts).

Particular emphasis will be placed on osteopathic mobilisation and muscle energy techniques for the pelvis, sacroiliac joint, and lumbar and thoracic spine. Participants will also be introduced to the fundamentals of mobility assessment, palpation, spinal biomechanics, the use of levers, and the identification of contraindications and red flags indicating serious pathology.

The seminar is particularly suitable for manual therapists and healthcare professionals who work with athletes. It combines theory, practical demonstrations, and supervised hands-on practice, enabling participants to expand their knowledge of manual techniques and develop an effective and safe approach to the treatment of the spine, pelvis, and sacroiliac joint.

The seminar will be conducted in English.
