About the Seminar
The seminar combines a contemporary understanding of pain with neurodynamics and practical approaches that can be integrated into clinical practice. It is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of pain, the nervous system, and the effects of manual and therapeutic techniques on the patient’s condition.
The seminar will be conducted in English.
Seminar Content:
Day 1 – Understanding and Pain Education
The first day is dedicated to understanding pain, its development, and different types of pain. You will learn about neurophysiological mechanisms, the importance of patient education, yellow flags, and contemporary approaches to explaining pain and developing appropriate therapeutic strategies.
Day 2 – Neurodynamics and the Nervous System
The second day focuses on the anatomy, neurophysiology, and neurobiomechanics of the nervous system. You will learn to identify neurogenic and neuropathic pain and, through practical work, test and determine the course of the nerves of the upper limb – the radial, median, and ulnar nerves. The effects of manual techniques on nerve mechanosensitivity will also be addressed.
Day 3 – Neurodynamics and Therapeutic Exercises
The third day is dedicated to the practical application of neurodynamic approaches. You will learn therapeutic exercises for the upper limb, as well as how to test and determine the course of the nerves of the lower limb, particularly the femoral and sciatic nerves. The effects of manual techniques on the mechanosensitivity of the nerves of the lower limb, as well as the use of therapeutic exercises in clinical practice, will also be addressed.
What Will You Gain?
✓ A better understanding of different types of pain and their neurophysiological mechanisms
✓ Knowledge to identify neurogenic and neuropathic pain
✓ Practical skills in testing and treating nerves of the upper and lower limbs
✓ An understanding of the effects of manual techniques on nerve mechanosensitivity
✓ The ability to integrate pain education, manual techniques, and rehabilitation into an individualized approach to patient care
